Thousands of Iraqi Shiites held a rally in Baghdad on Saturday in support of Christians who have suffered at the hands of Al Qaeda militants lately.
The supporters, all Muslims dressed in black, marched to the Cathedral of St.Mary, which was seized by Al Qaeda militants last Sunday.
51 people were killed and more than 70 were injured during the attack.
Shiite leader Muqtada al-Sadr says that the terrorists threaten not only peace-minded Christians but the Iraqi people as a whole.
