The working group for dialogue between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Evangelical Church in Germany met on November 24, 2011, at the Moscow Patriarchate’s department for external church relations.
The meeting was chaired by Hegumen Philaret (Bulekov), DECR vice-chairman. The working groups included Archpriest Dimitry Sizonenko, DECR secretary for inter-Christian relations, Rev. Alexander Vasyutin, Ms. Ye. Speranskaya and Mr. A. Borzov. The Evangelical Church in Germany was represented by Bishop Siegfried Kasparik of Wittenberg, Dr. Johann Schneider and Dr. Dagmar Heller.
The working group considered various organizational problems as well as the format and possible themes of the bilateral dialogue planned to take place in autumn 2012. The next meeting of the working group will take place in May 2012 in Germany.
