With
the Blessings of Metropolitan Hilarion (Primate of
Russian Church Outside Russia (Moscow Patriarchate),
a new Orthodox church was opened in Sargodha,
Pakistan on 30th January, 2012. Rev. Father Adrian
Augustus is a parish priest from Sydney who serves in
Pakistan. He preaches the traditional Christian faith
and creed of the Orthodox Church with its historical
background. 57 people have been baptized and 117
people received the sacrament of Chrismation from
Rev. Father Adrian. The Pakistan Mission is under the
jurisdiction of the Australian and New Zealand
Diocese of the Russian Church.
The Orthodox community in Sargodha requests your prayers,
blessings, spiritual guidance and support so that this
newly born church in Pakistan may grow day by day.
This is the third Orthodox Church opened in Pakistan.
Previously to this Greek Church was opened, in addition to
an existing Coptic church in Pakistan.
