Labry, August 4, 2015
No fewer than 40 Christian graves have been desecrated by unidentified people in northeastern France, the Meurthe-et-Moselle department, 30 kilometers (c. 18.6 miles) west of the city of Metz. Crosses on many gravestones have been knocked down and overturned, reports L'essentiel.
The suspects – a 12-year-old girl and two teenage boys (14 and 15 years of age) were detained on Tuesday, August 4.
The detainees do not deny their guilt: the desecration of 40 graves, citing the “gothic” motive for their crime, whatever that means.
It should be added that the incident took place in the Labry commune, whose population does not exceed 1,700 inhabitants.
