Metropolitan Athanasios of Limassol heads Christmas service in Russian parish

Limassol, January 9, 2014

According to the tradition, on the feast of the Nativity of Christ in the Russian parish of St. Nicolas in Limassol (Cyprus) a night service was celebrated. Over 200 people took part in it.

A Great Compline and Matins were celebrated by Rector of the parish Priest Viktor Zogiy and Archpriest Savva Mikhailidis. A Divine Liturgy, like it had been last year, was headed by Metropolitan Athanasios of Limassol and Kourion.

After the service, the choir performed several Christmas carols, then a traditional holiday meal was offered to all the parishioners and guests.
